AYUSH Indian e-Visa/Treatment under Indian System of Medicine A new Indian online Visa system for foreigners coming to India is AYUSH Indian Online Visa which has been introduced recently. The therapies covered under this are Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy. Treatment can be availed from any hospital/wellness center recognized and registered with any government authority or recognized hospitals providing AYUSH Services.

Treatment of Ayush Indian e-Visa?

  • Ayurveda:-Ayurveda is one of the age-tested traditional medical systems of India. 'Ayurveda' means 'knowledge of life' which is made up of two Sanskrit words like 'Ayu' means 'life' and 'Veda' means 'knowledge' or 'science'.
  • Yoga &Naturopathy:-The word 'Yoga' is also a Sanskrit word, 'Yuj' comes from the word 'Yuj' which means 'to unite or come together'. Yoga is about the union of one's own understanding and universal consciousness. Naturopathy is a cost-effective drug-free, non-invasive treatment that uses natural ingredients for health care and healthy living.
  • Unani:-Unani system of medicine is a comprehensive medical system that provides preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative health care. This system is holistic in nature and takes into account the complete individuality of an individual rather than adopting a reductionist approach towards illness.
  • Siddha:-Siddha system is an ancient method of treatment in India. The word 'Siddha' is derived from the root meaning "Chitti" which means Siddhi, eternal bliss and attainment of Siddhi.
  • Sowa Rigpa:-Sowa-Rigpa is a traditional medicine found in many parts of the Himalayan region, mainly used by tribal and Buddhist people and is still in use today. Sowa-Rigpa (Bodh-ki) means 'science of healing' and those who practice this treatment are also known as Amchi.
  • Homeopathy:-Homeopathy' treatment was introduced as a scientific treatment of drug therapy by a German physician, Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann in 1805. The principle of homeopathy is similia similibus curantur i.e. like should be treated like like.

Eligibility Conditions and Validity:

  • To be eligible for the Indian Ayush e-Visa, you must apply as a patient yourself.
  • The India Ayush e-Visa is valid for 60 days from the date of entry into India and is a triple entry visa, which means you can enter the country three times within the 60-day period.
  • You can apply for aIndian Ayush Visa three times per year if you need to return to India for further medical treatment.
  • Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into India.

Grounds for Application:

  • The Indian Ayush Visa is only available for those all foreigners seeking treatment through Ayush Systems, Indian Systems of Medicine.
  • Family members of the patient must apply for the Medical Attendant Visa instead.

Requirements:

  • You will need an electronic or scanned copy of your passport's first (biographical) page, a recent passport-style color photo, and a working email address.
  • You must also provide a debit or credit card for the application fee.
  • Additionally, you must provide a letter from the Indian hospital where you will receive treatment and answer questions about the hospital.
  • You must possess a return or onward ticket out of India.

Application Process:

  • Apply for the Ayush eVisa for India at least 4-7 days before your flight or date of entry into the country.
  • Make sure your passport has two empty pages for the Immigration Officer to stamp at the airport.
  • You must enter and exit the country from the approved Immigration Check Posts, which include 28 airports and 5 seaports.
